🦉 The coal tit or cole tit (Periparus ater)

📚 Peri (Greek) very, hugely;
📚 Parus (lat.) Tit
📚 ater (lat.) black, dark

This is one of the smallest tits.
A very mobile and energetic bird, it stays mostly high in the crowns of trees, unlike, for example, the great tit and willow tit, which examine dry leaves on the ground in autumn.

The fact that this bird belongs to the tit family can be guessed from the mating song of the male. The song is very similar to that of the great tit, but not as loud, higher pitched and hurried.

In these photos, just a singing male in the spring. I had to turn on the voices of these birds on the speaker so that the male descended from above to the lower tier of the forest.
