🐿️ The red squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris), also called Eurasian red squirrel
My city is surrounded by forests. And in these forests live these cute little animals. They are timid, and as soon as they see a person approaching them, they run up to a higher tree with a scream.
They feed mainly on plant food that they find in the territory where they live. However, it happens that due to lack of food they are forced to leave their usual territories and develop new ones.
I have personally observed this. There is a forest near my house, and in this forest there is a place, it is very, very far away, and 16 years ago you could meet a few squirrels there. However, every year I began to meet squirrels closer and closer. And now I meet squirrels in the old cemetery, which is across the road from my house.
Of course, squirrels live in city parks too. They are so used to people that they brazenly beg for food when you walk in the park.
