With the advent of late autumn, small flocks of these yellow birds appear in the forests. They chirp loudly while flying high in the upper tier of the forest, and perch on birch trees to feast on their dry seeds. For some reason they love them so much. With the advent of spring, these birds begin to form pairs, but are still kept in flocks. You can hear how the males actively sing while sitting on the branches.

And with the advent of summer, these birds seem to disappear. And no, not because they have family concerns like everyone else, most likely they fly away to coniferous forests. I understood this when I visited such forests, and met these birds in mixed forests in areas where many tall coniferous trees grow.
