A happy and blessed Friday to all my fellow Hivers! I am grateful to share a new post here in the #featheredfriends community and to participate in its weekly contests—this time, edition #293, which once again features an "Free Theme." It’s a chance to let our imaginations soar and find photographs that tell a story or serve a specific purpose. As always, I am also grateful to our main sponsor, nelinoeva@nelinoeva, for her support and for showcasing the wonderful qualities of these little creatures.

In the area where we are, on the island of Cubagua, there is a wooden marker—in place for many years—that indicates when the tide is rising or falling. It is also used by boobies (seabirds that roam the seas in search of fish) to enjoy a great view of the open ocean—and, naturally, to seize any opportunity to catch their favorite food.

Sometimes there is one, and at other times it is joined by another, until the tide brings in more water; and although they very much enjoy being in the water, it is better to wait for the right moment to eat.
