Blessings to all my fellow Hivers! I’m happy to share a new post here in the #gems community, featuring some photographs I took last Friday while waiting for the catamaran that would bring us back home. We had spent the entire week on another island for work, and I must say, I’m really pleased with how these photos turned out.

For the most part, they were intended to highlight two main things: the vastness of the sea that surrounds us and the intensity of the sun’s rays—which underscores the importance of staying well-hydrated and protected. They also offer a glimpse of the small boats used by the local inhabitants for their daily work, such as fishing and harvesting seaweed—an activity that is, without a doubt, the island’s primary source of income. Perhaps, when I have more time, I can show you that process in greater detail; it’s a bit complex to explain, but the seaweed is harvested—or, as the locals put it, taken "alive"—from the seabed. A diver descends to collect it and brings it to the surface, where it is left to dry in the sun for three days before being taken away for sale.
