I hope you're all doing well. Alhamdulillah, I'm doing great.
Today, I thought I'd share something very close to my heart—a traditional Pakistani breakfast. Honestly, no matter how many different cuisines we try, there's something so comforting about sitting down with family and enjoying a simple homemade desi breakfast.
A few of you often ask me how I make my tea, so I thought I'd share my recipes with you as well.
First, I boil the milk in a separate saucepan.
In another pan, I bring water to a boil and add the tea leaves. I usually use one teaspoon of tea leaves per cup. Today I made three cups, so I added three teaspoons.
Once the tea has brewed nicely, I pour in the boiled milk, add a couple of cardamom pods, let it simmer for another minute, and it's ready to serve.
For my saffron tea, I simply place five strands of saffron into a cup, pour boiling water over them, and let it steep for about five minutes.
Saffron is not only beautiful in colour, but it also has many health benefits. It is known to help improve mood, support digestion, and is rich in antioxidants. Many people also enjoy it because it gives a lovely aroma and a calming feeling. Just a few strands are enough to add a special touch to your tea.
That's all it takes! The colour, aroma, and flavour are absolutely beautiful.
I hope you enjoyed spending this little breakfast moment with me.
