Statics Photo Sesh

Recently, I went with two of my students once again to the top of Fort铆n Solano, that old fortress high up on the mountain that I have mentioned so much in other posts. On this occasion, we went to train by jogging uphill until we reached the fort. Once there, we set out to do several series of push-ups and explosive squats. I took the opportunity to take photos training while doing static skills on the high railings, flagpoles, and fortress walls. My students were able to do several L-sit holds while I chose to do straddle planche, shoulder flag, handstand, etc. And as is customary, we focused on taking photographs capturing the landscape, the sky, and the city from above. Now that I think about it, it is a great place to do this kind of thing; I will consider coming back here later with other friends to perform more skills.

Pushing the physical limits of calisthenics while ascending a historic mountain trail completely transforms a standard workout. The grueling uphill jog acts as a natural warmup, priming the body for high-intensity holds and explosive movements once you reach the stone ramparts of the fortress.

Balancing advanced statics like the shoulder flag and straddle planche against the expansive coastal background offers endless photographic potential. I hope these images convey the rugged energy and striking views of our session at the fort.

I hope you enjoyed these photographs. Without anything more to add, I bid farewell. Stay tuned for future posts! Until next time!

隆Hasta la Pr贸xima!
