The Shimazu Clan is not just a group of calisthenics geeks; since this team was born back in 2023, we have always made proposals for charitable work and ecological projects.

Greetings to everyone, I am @psycho-yoseph, and hey... it had been like a thousand years since I last posted a blog through the @clan-shimazu account, but as they say, those who leave without being chased return without being called.

A few weeks ago, I had the fortune to cross paths with my great friend @owls-eye who, exercising unparalleled social awareness and kindness, proposed that we do an ecological project collecting all the plastic waste and polluting debris from various areas of the city, so we scheduled a morning to go to Fortín Solano to clean up as much as we could.

Since this place is basically a lookout on a mountain, we climbed up and cleaned absolutely everything we found. I will be completely honest with you: you don't really know how serious an issue is until you deal with it head-on. While we were picking up trash, we realized there was a huge amount of waste, so much so that we had to settle for just picking up what we could from the surface. Not to mention that there was trash deep in the mountain vegetation, and this place has as many cacti as a cat has hairs—not to mention the spiders and other thorny plants. Although these living beings comfort me in a certain way, I think of them as the guardians of the forest; who the heck is going to go in and throw trash in the place if you can't take two steps without getting killed by a spider or the thorns leaving you like a Hawaiian skirt? So, it is definitely a plus.

We collected a lot of trash, reached the top of the mountain, and placed the bag in its corresponding spot. But the task is far from over; there is still a lot of trash in the surrounding areas, and we need more bags and equipment to save our planet. El Clan Shimazu no es solo un grupo de "freakies" por la calistenia; desde que empezó a nacer este equipo, por allá en 2023, siempre hicimos propuestas para obras benéficas y proyectos ecológicos.

Un saludo a todos, soy @psycho-yoseph y, hey... tenía como mil años que no subía algún blog mediante la cuenta del @clan-shimazu, pero como dicen por ahí: el que se va sin que lo corran, vuelve sin que lo llamen.

Hace unas semanas tuve la fortuna de coincidir con mi gran amigo @owls-eye, quien, ejerciendo una conciencia social y bondad sin igual, me propuso hacer un proyecto ecológico recogiendo todos los residuos de plástico y desechos contaminantes de varias zonas de la ciudad, así que pautamos una mañana para ir al Fortín Solano a limpiar todo lo que pudiéramos.

Ya que este lugar es básicamente un mirador en una montaña, fuimos ascendiendo y limpiando absolutamente todo lo que encontrábamos, y les voy a ser completamente honesto: uno no sabe realmente qué tan grave es un asunto hasta que lo atiendes de lleno. Mientras íbamos recogiendo basura, nos dimos cuenta de que había una cantidad enorme de desechos, tanto así que tuvimos que proponernos solo recoger lo que pudiéramos por encima, sin mencionar que había basura en lo profundo de la vegetación de la montaña. Este lugar tiene tantos cactus como pelos tiene un gato, ni qué decir de las arañas y otras plantas con espinas. Aunque me confortan de cierta manera estos seres vivos, son los guardianes del bosque: ¿quién rayos se va a meter a ensuciar el lugar si no puedes dar dos pasos sin que te mate una araña o que las espinas te dejen como falda hawaiana? Así que es un plus, sin duda.

Recogimos un montón de basura, llegamos a la cima de la montaña y colocamos la bolsa en su lugar correspondiente. Pero la tarea está lejos de terminar; aún hay un montón de basura en los alrededores y necesitamos más bolsas y equipo para salvar nuestro planeta.
