It's winter season now and there is a delicious winter vegetables coming in the markets. Like cauliflower, broccoli, radishes, kale, peas etc. In winter these veggies tastes sweeter and fresh. As we all know that now in cold storage we get all the veggies but when seasonable veggies are good to consume. So today I am going to show you a recipe of Cauliflower- Potato & peas. There are numerous ways to serve cauliflower. It also has cancer fighting properties , fibre and B-vitamins. Most of the people like cauliflowers nutty taste. I love cauliflowers rather than Cabbage.
So let's see how to make this comforting fulfilling and easy to make recipe-
Ingredients
•cauliflower- 2 cups
•peas-1 cup
•Potato- 1 cup
•tomato- ½cup
•turmeric powder-½tbspn
•salt-1 tbspn or according to the taste.
•redchili- ½tbspn
•oil for frying
•greenchili-½ tbspn
•curry leaves- 5nos
•capsicum- 2 tbspn
•Asofeodita- ½ teapsn
•dry mango powder-⅓tbspn
•garam masala-½ tbspn
•coriander leaves- 2 tbspn.
METHOD
●rinse and chopped all the veggies like cauliflower, potatoes.
●keep cauliflower florets in hot water for 10 mins in a large pan. So that if any insect or worms are there will be removed by this process.
●Wash peas.
●Now heat Mustard oil in a kadhai or pan. I prefer using mustard oil. You can use any oil. Then add cumin seeds, asofedita, curry leaves& green chilies.
●Add capsicum.
●Then add potatoes.
●Add turmeric and salt.
●Mix properly.
●Add tomatoes.
●stir it.
●Now add cauliflower.
●Mix it and let it cook for 10 to 15 mins. Check if the potatoes are cooked by using knife to cut into piece. Make sure to open and stir the cauliflower and potatoes. Cauliflower doesn't need much time to cook as potatoes.
●then add peas.
●Now add spices like red chili powder, coriander powder, salt, garam masala and dry mango powder and cook for 5 minutes on meduim flame.
●Add coriander leaves.
●Mix all them well.
●Now transfer the curry in a serving bowl.
●Enjoy aloo gobhi matar with Roti/chapati/parantha or steamed rice.
My family love this served with dal(lentils), rice and roti.
