Hey guys, today is one of those days where I get to gist you guys about some of the crazy things happening around me.
So I have this friend who always tells us (I and some of my other friends) that being single is way better than being in a relationship. This dude is so convinced to the extent that whenever we bring up this conversation, he always has his key points ready, almost like he's been waiting his whole life to have that conversation.
The one thing he always points out is freedom. According to him, not being in a relationship makes you free to do anything you want. He always describes relationships like it some sort of disguised prison that people walk willingly into.
Although we know most of the things he says are trash because to all of us, he's nothing but a chronic womaniser who probably got cursed from an early age, some of my friends are starting to believe what he says. And this is as a result of one of us getting their heart broken recently.
Apparently, the girlfriend of one of my friends woke up one morning and decided she no longer was interested in dating him. She didn't give him no reason other than she was tired of the relationship and wanted to call it quit. Our friend had ended up coming to us to get consoled and just as we were about bringing him out of the sour mood, we heard another news about a guy who used to live in the same street with us, how he proposed to his girlfriend of four years and she said No.
All of this bad news was nothing but fuel for my womaniser friend who immediately began his sermon on why a man shouldn't be committed to one woman. And now from the looks of things, some of the guys are beginning to pay more attention to him. And even though many of them might not end up womanising like him because we all love our lives and are scared of contacting some incurable disease that this friend of ours probably already has, we just might not be getting into any relationship soon.
One thing I hate so much is heartbreak and I know you can't get your heart broken if you don't let them in it in the first place.
