If there's one thing that is quickly dying in this current generation, it is people wanting to give other people closure. No one wants to do that anymore; people just get up and leave, almost like they never cared about the other person, and that is sad, because it makes their leaving ten times harder than it normally should have been.

Also, I recently found out that when we talk about having closure, we most times only talk about when people are trying to move on from a heartbreak, and that shouldn't only be the case, because closure gives us answers to questions that could help us understand a situation better and help us know why that person had done what they did.

About a month ago, I remember one of my neighbors had approached a lady and asked her for her number, and she had refused to give it to him. For some reason he couldn't let it go, not because he felt entitled to getting her number, but because in an environment like this one, hardly would a lady say no straight up to you.

Most of them would give you the number and then proceed to block you when you call or just not reply to your text messages or calls. But this lady had just said no to him, and he started to feel like maybe he had unknowingly done something to her in the past, hence his reason for not being able to let it go.

He eventually met her for the second time and after he asked her for her number again and she still refused, he had calmly requested to know why she didn't want to give it to him. That was when she explained to him her reasons, and he realized it had nothing to do with him.

She has only refused because she has no plans on staying here long and doesn't want to make any connections with anyone that would either make her change her mind or make leaving here a lot more difficult.

According to him, he said the moment she explained to him, he felt a lot relieved and had thanked her and went his way. Now, he no longer had to feel like he didn't do anything wrong and could now go about his life without having to think any further of the situation.
