I decided to move away from the savoury things and move onto something sweet. Now the reason behind eating these is to do with a social media post my cousin sent me. It had very rude teapots on it and then underneath there were these mallows that looked like something rather gross next to the teapots. My cousin said they are really nice though, despite what they were made to look like. So I got some in.

I had to be really careful opening the wrapper as I could see lots of desiccated coconut going everywhere. Even though I was super careful, I still managed to drop them. It was quite hard getting the mallow biscuits out because the top biscuit was stuck to the mallow of the biscuit underneath. You carefully had to rip them apart. The biscuit wasn't crunchy. It reminded me of a stale biscuit. A little bit like it in flavour actually! However, the mallow on top was really fluffy yet firm and spongy. It tasted really nice with the layer of jam that was in the middle of the mallows. I really liked the desiccated coconut on top too.
These were ok. I ate half a packet a few nights ago. I had the other half last night and I'm pleased to say they were much better the second time round. They reminded me of these other mallow biscuits from the 80's They were a dome of mallow on top of a circle biscuit base and the mallow came in either pink or white and it was topped off with desiccated coconut. I have looked online for them, but I can't find them at all!! They take me right back to my childhood. These though are a good substitute for the ones I'm thinking of.
