After picking off bandits outside an inn with my handgun, I cleared the area and secured the safe house inside. I searched the rooms, found a workbench, and collected some fuel from wrecked cars outside before skipping the night entirely by sleeping in the bed until morning.
The moment I pulled up to the inn, a group of bandits opened fire on me, so I instantly drew my handgun to trade shots. The scavengers on the ground tried to rush my position, but a swarm of infected cut them off and forced them back inside, which was an awesome, chaotic sight to watch.
I picked off the armed bandits one by one from range. It was incredibly satisfying to see them drop from a single bullet, especially compared to the bullet-sponge infected.
The handgun felt almost overpowered, completely tearing through the bandits with some pretty brutal damage visuals.
Just when I thought the roof was clear, another bandit started attacking me with rocks. I got a little sloppy and wasted a shot that missed his head, but my second bullet put him down for good.
With the exterior clear, I moved inside to claim the safe house, hoping for high-tier loot. The safe zone secured immediately, giving me access to a bed and a stash bag.
I was a bit disappointed by the lack of loose supplies inside, as the scavengers had clearly stripped the place clean, but having a working workbench around made up for it.
Stepping back outside, I decided to check the abandoned vehicles in the parking lot for fuel. My last experience driving a car was an absolute nightmare because I ran out of gas in a bad spot
So discovering that you can collect fuel straight from wrecked cars was a huge game-changer. I managed to drain fuel from almost every intact vehicle around the inn, building up a massive stockpile for future drives.
Even though it was only 10:24 AM, I decided to interact with the bed and sleep straight through to the next morning. I personally have zero interest in dealing with Volatiles hunting me in the dark.
So taking advantage of an easy, safe skip felt like the smartest move possible. Plus, I like to think Kyle appreciated getting an extra-long rest before we head back out.
I'll show what happens next later.
I personally took all the screenshots from my play and I used a logo of the game from online to use in the thumbnail.
This is Pikachuuuuu signing off. Over and out.
