I joined Miles at City Hall to clear out a massive Symbiote infestation. We executed smooth combo takedowns across the rooftops, took down high-priority ranged enemies, and cleared the entrance to rescue trapped civilians inside.
Launching myself across the river with a super slingshot, before popping open the web wings remains hands-down the fastest and most thrilling way to traverse the map.
Blasting through the skyline before seamlessly transitioning into classic web-swinging never gets old, but using the web wings adds a whole new layer of speed that I have been relying on more and more lately.
The traversal mechanics in this game might be my favorite part of the entire experience. It completely ruins fast travel for me because just moving from point A to point B is an absolute blast.
When I reached close to the City Hall, a cinematic cutscene triggered showing the City Hall completely overrun by Symbiotes. Peter and Miles teamed up to cleanse the structure hoping Harry would be around.
The black Symbiote covering the whole building looked super cool, almost like something out of a scary movie, and it really showed how bad the attack was getting across New York.
Ganke called us on the radio saying people were trapped inside, so we had to hurry up and clear the outside. Both Spider-Men started taking down the symbiotes assuming it'll be a long fight here.
One really annoying Symbiote was throwing these weird explosive attacks at me from far away and taking off a lot of my health, so I went straight for him first.
I hate ranged enemies in big group fights like this because they keep breaking my combos, so getting rid of him was my main goal. Miles came in to help me, and fighting together as two Spider-Men felt super awesome.
Moving up to the higher roof, we pulled off some sweet tag-team attacks. The fight mechanics here felt so smooth, where one of us would beat up a monster to weaken it, and the other would fly in to finish it off.
I love how good the team fighting feels because it actually makes you feel like a real team instead of just fighting next to a normal NPC.
It was pretty funny watching one of the Symbiotes just stood there and wait for us to finish beating up his friend before he decided to attack. That enemy NPC definitely had a weird moment.
We beat all the remaining enemies on the roof and completely cleared the outside area.
With the roof secured, the next thing to do was unblocking the main entrance so we could get inside and rescue those trapped people, and I was excited to see how crazy the indoor fights were going to be.
That's all for now. I'll write about more of this story again soon. Be safe till we meet again.
Au revoir/Goodbye.
