In these crucial hours here in Venezuela, where we are all collaborating to achieve our freedom, we spend a lot of time in meetings, assemblies and almost no time to be at home, so I find myself a little absent from the network, however I pass quickly and share one of my many favorite recipes and call it the recipe of the grandmother, is simple and nothing richer than after hard work, relax and enjoy a rich custard this recipe has passed from hand to hand in my family, with it we have managed to enjoy that family warmth that we need so much, in addition to that particular aroma that each family has, aroma of home, union and solidarity, so I share my recipe for cornstarch custard:
Ingredients:
4 cups milk.
3/4 cup sugar.
3 tablespoons cornstarch.
8 egg yolks.
The rind of a lemon.
Instructions
Blend milk, egg yolks, sugar and cornstarch.
Place this mixture in a small, thick saucepan with the lemon peel and cook over medium heat, stirring with a wooden trowel and making sure it does not boil.
When thickened, remove from the heat, remove the lemon peel and place the mixture in individual containers, approximately 8 servings.
Refrigerate and enjoy when curdled. Don't curdle too much, they look like creamy puddings. You can enjoy it cold or hot We can accompany with cookies.
