Today is Tuesday, the weather is cool, but we have a break in the rains. I have a discomfort that worsens with the rain, so today I am rather recovering a bit from how I felt a few days ago. On the other hand, my brother looks better, so at least everything isn't so bad. At home there is little to tell, as I usually comment, my #life is calm, or at least I try to make it as calm as possible, I suppose it's a matter of my character (personal smile).
Now, as you can see, with so little to tell about my personal life, I think that in this record of the day I will comment on the ephemeris of the #History that I selected for today, which is a date established by the Organization of the United Nations, the #UN, and which was held for the first time in 2001, but has its roots in a declaration that this same organization promulgated 50 years earlier.

Hoy es martes, el clima está fresco, pero tenemos una pausa en las lluvias. Tengo un malestar que se recrudece con la lluvia, así que hoy estoy más bien recuperándome un poco de como me sentía hace unos días. Por otra parte, mi hermano se ve mejor, así que por lo menos no todo está tan mal. En casa hay poco que contar, tal como suelo comentar, mi #vida es tranquila, o al menos procuro que sea lo más calmada que puedo, supongo que es cosa de mi carácter (sonrisa personal).
Ya como puedes notar, con tan poco que contar de mi vida personal, creo que pasaré en este registro del día a comentar sobre la efeméride de la #Historia que seleccioné para el día de hoy, que se trata de una fecha establecida por la Organización de las Naciones Unidas, la #ONU, y que se celebró por primera vez en 2001, pero tiene sus raíces en una declaración que esta misma organización promulgó 50 años antes.

Today is 'World Refugee Day', a date that was promulgated at the beginning of the 21st century to, on the one hand, commemorate the 1951 Convention on the Status of Refugees, and, on the other hand, to make visible the growing problem of human displacement that originates the need for shelter for people from different parts of the world.
These people, the refugees, were people who lived their lives in their home countries, never imagining in their lives that a turn of events could lead to them having to flee for their lives, losing their attachment to their land and having to start a new life, not always in the best conditions. The causes for having to flee their countries of origin can be very varied, but they have in common that they were situations that forced the person to choose between dying (and seeing their family die) or having to move and seek refuge in another country.

Hoy es el ‘Día Mundial del Refugiado’, una fecha que se promulgó a inicios del siglo XXI para, por una parte, conmemorar la Convención sobre el Estatuto de los Refugiados, de 1951, y, por otra parte, para visibilizar el creciente problema de desplazamiento humano que origina la necesidad del refugio para personas de distintas partes del mundo.
Estas personas, los refugiados, eran personas que vivían sus vidas en sus países de origen, sin imaginar nunca en sus vidas que un giro de acontecimientos pudiera llevarlos a tener que escapar por sus vidas, perdiendo su arraigo a su tierra y teniendo que comenzar una nueva vida, no siempre en las mejores condiciones. La causa para tener que escapar de sus países de origen pueden ser muy variadas, pero tienen en común que fueron situaciones que forzaron a la persona a elegir, entre morir (y ver morir a su familia) o tener que desplazarse y procurarse refugio en otro país.

The #refugee has had no choice to survive, but to leave his country. It is a situation that I have not experienced in person, but some friends that I have had to suffer. It is quite terrible and leaves severe psychological consequences, in addition to the fact that during the time they were still in their country, some of the people who managed to escape also suffered injuries to their bodies or saw close people die (relatives or friends, sometimes both situations arose).
An old wish, a dream, or perhaps a utopia, for me, would be that we did not have the conflicts that have triggered the need to seek #refuge for millions of people in the world.

El #refugiado no ha tenido opción para sobrevivir, que irse de su país. Es una situación que yo no he vivido en persona, pero algunas amistades que tengo sí lo han tenido que sufrir. Es bastante terrible y deja secuelas psicológicas severas, además de que durante el tiempo que aún estaban en su país, algunas de las personas que lograron escapar, sufrieron también lesiones en sus cuerpos o vieron morir a gente cercana (familiares o amigos, en ocasiones ambas situaciones se dieron).
Un viejo deseo, un sueño, o puede que una utopía, para mí, sería que no tuviéramos los conflictos que han desencadenado la necesidad de buscar refugio para millones de personas en el mundo.
