My Alive and Thriving Friday afternoon visit to Bill Witt Park!
Happy #aliveandthriving Friday evening to you and thank you for your visit!
So this afternoon I decided to go to a Park that I have not been to in quite some time, close to a year. From driving past now and then I did see that the "city" has totally rebuilt it - so I thought it a good day to take a look. Needless to say that there is no way to cover this place in a single post so for today's visit I focused on the "Bill Witt Aquatic Center".
So here is the entrance sign,
And a few feet after that is this sign which points you in the correct direction,
To the side of that I saw this field of Pidgeons and had to take a photo,
Across from the main entrance the Police have also moved in and put up a new building,
And this is the bus stop right next to that - convenient..
And this is a look at the Aquatic Center from the front side - I tried to get as much of it in the photo as possible,
This is a little closer with some canopy's and Sunbathing lounges,
Here is a look at the pool and Springboards,
And this is the reason the photos are from outside the fence,
Yep, closed! Some amazing stuff don't you think for a Friday afternoon? Here we are at a "Public Park", paid for by taxpayers. The Park hours are from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.. Now I do not expect the pool to be open that late, but until 6 or 8 p.m. is not unreasonable, so....
And I also wonder about them building these things as Corpus Christi has many in the last 4 years, and costing millions. I think that the "citizens" need a different kind of help than remodeling Parks.
