Happy #aliveandthriving Sunday afternoon / evening to you and thank you for your visit!
This afternoon I had planned with a few friends to go over to the Jazz Fest for a few hours, long story short - they all backed out!
That being said I went over there anyways alone!
But before we get to that I also want d to share with you the Sunrise this morning!
Yes we are getting to the part of the year when we have "Pink" Skies in the morning!
And now over to the Jazz Fest!
This is one of the Shuttle buses. They are looping the downtown every 15 minutes for free during the Fest. I was hoping to get a photo with Jazz Fest on the bus sign - but it is changing while I took the photo and I didn't notice...
This was a Military Jazz Quartet playing mostly "Stevie Wonder" songs. In my opinion about the best thing (despite the empty seats) that was going on at the whole Fest,
This is a "Military Cadet" band of some sort, mostly younger musicians,
This was a local Trio. I took two photos to get the Guitarist and The Keyboard player in,
These folks were also very good! They were another local quartet! That lady had a powerful voice!
And now for the "non musical" part of the Fest. On a disappointing note it almost seemed the Fest was more for this than the music...
This is where I walked in and the Firefighters and the C.A.R.E. (Cancer Awareness Relief Effort) was set up,
This is a view of one of the Vendors in the Reggae area,
This is another,
Looping around from there I ran into food vendors of all types. This is a Chicken bucket vendor,
Looking a little further there was also Burger places, Frozen fruit, etc,
There was also Beer & Wine stands everywhere as well - which to give you an idea about pricing... A beer was (avg.) $7! Wow!
This is a look into a part of the "Wine Garden " area,
And at that point I decided to leave. On the way out I did see something else somewhat interesting. This is the "Corpus Christi International Seafarers Center",
Which was direct across the street from the Jazz Fest,
And with that I left and headed home. I want to thank you again for your visit and I am Wishing you a Very Blessed, Happy, and Safe New-Week!
