We are on Sunday night, this March 24 has passed with relative calm. Even though the dogs in the area have been barking a lot, as if alerting to something, my brother has constantly checked and has never been able to see what they were barking at. This is a bit worrying, but there is little we can do.

Outside these details, my #life has been pretty good. I spent Sunday at home, not really doing much work. That makes me think that I should dedicate a little time to continuing my Spanish translations of the Chinese fantasy novel that I have put aside for some time. Anyway, that will be for another publication, better to comment on the ephemeris of #History that I wanted to share today. The celebration is in the area of #food, and more specifically in that of #sweets, and I think it is quite traditional in Anglo-Saxon confectionery, from what I read. It's 'Chocolate Covered Raisin Day'.

The celebration seems to have started in the United States, but this candy became popular in the 1930s. It can also be found among the common sweets in Canada, as I read in a record, but it is something that is more typical of the Christmas season than other seasons of the year.

The preparation of this #candy is very simple, you have a certain amount of raisins on hand and pass it through a mixture of chocolate coating, as soon as the coating cools, the snack is ready. It is not complicated, it is relatively healthy, and it provides a good amount of sugars and calories.

From what I read, the most popular and widespread version is the one prepared with dark chocolate, but there is a variant that is made with white chocolate coverage. Personally, I prefer the use of dark #chocolate, with little sugar, and relatively low use of milk for the mixture. But, it's a matter of personal taste.

By the way, in my country it is not a very common preparation, but we do have this candy on the market. The thing is that raisins come as part of an assortment, strawberry and peanut, all covered in chocolate. I remember that the Venezuelan brand Savoy was the one that produced this candy, but at this moment I can't remember the commercial name of the packaging.

My memory is failing, plus I haven't bought these sweets for a long time.

Well, that would be all for today, I say goodbye, wishing you that you are well and that we can read again another time.
