Hey everyone. I am continuing the series on how to naturally ease pain. If you check out my last two posts, you will see that I mentioned one way to ease joint pain using capsaicin and ease toothache pain by using cloves. Today I will discuss another method of naturally easing pain. Lets get to it...
Today we will be dealing with stomach pain. If you have stomach pain, you can try taking peppermint. One method is via peppermint tea. Peppermint tea has long been a household remedy for stomach aches. Today the research is here to back up that method. Peppermint is a powerful herb and has a wide range of benefits.
Peppermint is antispasmodic, calming, boosts digestion, and has anti-nausea effects. Several studies have shown that peppermint oil can be beneficial for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). In a double blind study, peppermint oil has been shown to improve the severity of pain in more than 75% of participants who took peppermint oil. Peppermint oil is normally used for IBS as it's a more concentrated form than tea. Just make sure to avoid taking peppermint if you have gastroesophageal reflex (GERD) as it can exacerbate the condition.
Well there you have it. Another natural ingredient to add to your repertoire. Let me know if it works for you. Thanks for stopping by and I will see you again soon.
