Ancient times, when we could wonder at will. That's when these photos were taken, and in one of the places on my to-see list: Angkor Wat, in Camboja. It's impossible to be indifferent to how magnificent this place is. For this monomad challenge, thought it would be fit to present some of the views in monochrome style.
After all... these are ancient buildings, long before colour photo existed. Heck, waaaaaaaay before photos existed!
The skill to create these faces is amazing; just love how serene the statue's expression is!
Here, better than the serene look... is acknowledge that one of the heads seems to have a pair of antlers! 馃ぃ I swear it wasn't on purpose, just realized it now!!
Probably I should stick to photograph my favourite subjects, animals. The ruins are home to tons of wildlife, so did have my fair share of opportunities to capture them on camera, even the sneaky ones.
But there was just something magical about the place, some buildings just deserved to be caught on camera.
Even for those buildings that succumbed to mother Nature, the final result was probably better that the building alone!
If you don't have Angkor Wat on your travelling list... you're missing out!
