Now that I think of it, cats fit right in these amazing greek islands.

Lazy days, warmth, plenty of sun... and human watching!

Cats seem to be everywhere in these islands. And unlike most portuguese street cats, that would gladly carve you a new scar if you get too close to their liking, most of these seem incredibly friendly.

They'll be guarding the gates of ancient castles, staring at you from a wall...

Or simply sleeping while everyday life goes on and hordes of tourists pass by. But if you pet them, most of them will gladly purr and headbutt you in a friendly way, and if you happen to crouch some will simply jump to your lap and expect to be petted (until they had enough, of course; humans are servants).

I think you could blow a horn near some of them, and they would continue sleeping, oblivious to any surrounding sounds... or at least not being bothered by them.

They also guard souvenir shops when they're awake, which seems to happen during short periods of these late summer days.

But hey, so it seems to be life in these islands: relaxed, laid back, enjoying the flow time. Cats are just masters in blending in!
