Visit Wat Phra Borommathat Tak (tempel), Tak, Thailand with my family.
Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. In this post, I will take you to visit another temple in my country. This temple is called Wat Phra Borommathat Tak. It is located in the lower northern region. I always enjoy reading information about the temples I visit, and I usually look up information about the temples online. So, before I take you to see this temple, I’d like to share some brief background information about this temple. No historical records exist regarding the construction or the founder of Wat Phra Borommathat Tak. However, this temple had been abandoned until the temple was extensively restored in AD 1897 or 129 years ago, bringing it back to a beautiful, brand new condition. And the temple received royal granting of the land to a particular temple by announcing in royal decree in AD 1949 or 77 years ago.
On this trip, my family and I visited Wat Phra Borommathat Tak. The temple is about 387 kilometers away from our home, and it took us nearly 7 hours to get there. Unfortunately, we arrived at Wat Phra Borommathat Tak late in the evening right before the temple was about to close. The temple was very quiet and almost completely empty. Many of the sacred buildings were already locked, so we had to do a quick walk-around, even though we couldn't see everything. Let’s go take a look at the atmosphere.
The main highlight of the temple is the magnificent gold color pagodas. In accordance with ancient domestic Buddhist tradition, this structure serves as the zodiacal pagoda for the Year of the Horse.
The other highlight I managed to photograph back then was the temple's many Buddha statues. These represent only a fraction of them, as there were many others I left unphotographed. Because some sacred buildings has been locked (The temple was closing at that time). In addition, the sacred buildings are beautifully constructed, even though some look ancient.
These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to see and enjoy my stories and photos. Please forgive any errors/mistakes. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗
