Back to a simple life and food made with fresh ingredients from the home garden.
Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. After coming back home from our southern beach trip, so today is the first day my wife is cooking using vegetables from our home garden. Nobody has been taking care of the vegetable garden since I took my family to the beach in the south. My mother and my brother-in-law have been busy with their longan orchard and rice paddy, which are in a different location from our house. Right now, the vegetables in our garden are badly withered, and many types have already died. However, a small portion of them are still in relatively good condition. The first meal my wife cooked after we got back home yesterday was today's lunch. She didn't cook breakfast, we just bought some bread and milk from a local shop. My wife is still suffering from travel fatigue, so she prepared a quick and simple lunch. We had stir-fried minced pork with holy basil over rice, accompanied by both fried egg and the omelet. The main vegetables in this dish are home garden-fresh, except for the carrots and onions, which were sourced from a local shop.
Yardlong beans, winged beans, holy basil, and chili peppers are the fresh vegetables from the home garden in this dish.
This is today’s stir-fried minced pork with holy basil. Once again, I'm bringing you a photo to describe the cooking process and the delightful taste of this dish. Hope you all like it.
Stir-fried minced pork with holy basil is served with fresh cucumbers from the home garden too.
We also pick a papaya and guavas from the garden to eat fresh.
