Hi bloggers and food lovers, how are you all doing? Today I’m making a dish that’s perfect for lunch or as a packed meal, it’s not too big and just the right size for one serving. As a fan of Japanese food, I’m making nori tacos filled with fragrant sushi rice, and you can top your nori tacos with your favorite toppings. This time, I used spicy crab sticks and sausages cut lengthwise. Okay, let’s get right to it.

Ingredients:

  • 3 sheets of nori
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • water
  • cooking oil
  • 5 crab sticks
  • 3 sausages
  • cucumber
  • cream cheese
  • spicy mayo
  • chopped green onions
  • 2 scoops of rice
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • a pinch of salt
  • a pinch of sugar
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil

Instructions:

  • Cut each sheet of nori into 4 pieces

  • Place the all-purpose flour in a plate

  • Add water to it

  • Stir until well combined to form a wet batter

  • Dip the nori into the batter

  • Heat cooking oil in a pan

  • Place the nori into the heated oil

  • Fry the nori until the batter turns golden brown

  • Remove the nori and shape it like this; I used a wooden spoon handle to shape it like a taco

  • Do the same for the remaining nori sheets

  • Prepare some warm rice, then add soy sauce to it

  • Add sugar and salt to the rice then add sesame oil to it

  • Stir until well combined

  • Place the rice on top of the nori tacos

  • Place the cucumber slices lengthwise on top

  • Top with cream cheese and spicy mayo crab sticks

  • Add sausage on top

  • Drizzle with mayo and spicy mayo

  • Sprinkle with black sesame seeds

  • The nori taco is ready to eat
