Hi dear bloggers, welcome to November! The weekend at the start of November marks a fresh start to the new month. As usual, every Sunday morning is Car-Free Day in my city.
After a leisurely stroll through the car-free zone, I decided to grab some lunch of course, I wasn’t alone, I was with two of my good friends. For lunch this time, we decided to eat at a place called Sadar Jiwo.
This was my second time having lunch here it’s not a very large place, but it’s cozy enough to eat and relax for a bit. The restaurant has an industrial vibe with an open kitchen, so we can watch our orders being prepared right before our eyes. They serve rice, noodles, porridge, coffee, and tea. Of course, as a noodle lover, I ordered the chicken noodles my personal favorite and I noticed that most people were ordering them too because they’re truly delicious and savory.
Chinese-style chicken noodles with a variety of toppings including fried dumplings, boiled dumplings, soy sauce-marinated eggs, chicken and mushroom pieces, and vegetables plus chicken meatballs served in a separate bowl of chicken broth as a side. The noodles are curly and chewy, and you can customize the flavor and spice level to your liking. they also provide free condiments such as chili sauce, pickled chili peppers, bird’s eye chili peppers, soy sauce, and chili powder.
My mix includes just a little chili sauce, bird’s eye chili peppers, chili powder, and most importantly, a splash of soy sauce to enhance the flavor and I don’t want too much broth; I prefer my chicken noodles on the saucy side.
Another dish we ordered was steamed dumplings topped with chili oil and sliced green onions. The flavor matched the color, it was quite spicy, but delicious because the dumplings were generously filled and savory. Everything we ordered this time was delicious. After eating, we decided to head home and rest. Okay, that wraps up our Car Free Day activities for now. See you next time!
