Hi dear bloggers and food lovers, good afternoon everyone! Today I’m making a marble cake—a cake that’s always been a part of every important occasion in our family. Ever since I was little, my mom has loved making this one; it has a denser, more filling texture and is perfect for enjoying with a cup of hot coffee in the afternoon. Okay, let’s get right to it!
Ingredients:
- 6 eggs
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 250 grams all-purpose flour
- 250 grams margarine
- 250 grams powdered sugar
- 1 packet sweetened condensed milk
- mocha paste
Instructions:
The first thing we need to do is separate the egg whites from the yolks. Set the yolks aside for now, and beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form, just like when making meringue—without adding sugar or anything else.
Next, add the margarine, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cake emulsifier to the mixing bowl. Turn on the mixer and beat all the ingredients on the highest speed until the batter becomes fluffy like this; it takes about 20 minutes to reach this consistency.
Once the mixture has expanded, add the egg yolks one at a time. After they’re incorporated, gradually add the all-purpose flour to the cake batter. Next, stir in the sweetened condensed milk into the batter as it begins to thicken. After the condensed milk is incorporated, fold in the beaten egg whites into the mixing bowl and continue mixing until well combined, then turn off the mixer.
Pour the batter into a cake pan, setting aside a small amount to mix with the mocha paste. Add the mocha paste to the remaining batter and stir until the color darkens. then pour the mocha batter over the cake batter, create a swirl pattern on top using a fork by swirling it, then bake at 180°C for about 1 hour. Let it cool, then serve and mocha marble cake is ready to eat.
