Flawless Pork Roast, a Haiku

I'm not sure what "lyrical" means regarding poetry, so when I saw @jaynie's challenge to take a crack at @felixgarciap's lyric poetry contest by writing about the perfect pot roast, I thought "I will pass on this one".

I've only been inspired in the iambic once before, and that piece was a lovelorn ditty that no one ever read but me. @quillfire dismisses this type of poetry as "anyone can write a sappy poem" (a statement I take issue with) in his entry to @jaynie's challenge to @felixgarciap's challenge. Confused yet? It gets worse.

Yes, @quillfire's poem is stupendous. I loved every word of the entire post. I'll have to read the other entries to verify this, but I'm pretty sure no one will best him. And he knows it.

@quillfire couldn't stop there though, oh no. He had to go off all cocksure and call for a showdown of PFC poets, he had to throw down the gauntlet, he had to DARE the rest of us. He made a challenge to anyone considering taking on the @jaynie's challenge to anyone taking on @felixgarciap's challenge. My gloves went on.

SO, I got right to work on a haiku. It might not qualify as lyrical (is not all poetry lyrical?) but it IS a poem about a flawless roast of pork.

Haiku is anything but easy. For anyone who might be interested, I worked for hours on this. I post my process here, and my final choice is in bold

succulent, juicy, flavorful, oh!
salivate,
juice on the plate and in the mouth
flowing
first flow
one a gush
the other slow
a gush in the mouth

two flawless flows
slow and steady on the plate
a gush in the mouth

both unsullied flows
slow and steady on the plate

Flaw
pig's pitfall our gain

pure juices flowing
slow and steadfast on the plate
