Being in an abusive relationship is trauma on its own, there is this trend going on on tik tok although it has died down a bit but allow me share it. It's a music/dance trend I'm sure many people can relate to.
It goes thus:
What is it haven't you done enough? What is it haven't you done enough? The pain the torment the torture, the pain the torment the torture is it not enough? Take my life 馃榿
Now in a case where a man or even a woman abuses someone they are in a relationship with, that song is the right song to sing for them. As I was writing this it just came into my mind that even women can be abusive and manipulative, yes don't just think it is from one gender but it is mostly from the male gender, I'm so sorry, the guys here 馃榿I have heard stories where women run their relationships and not just running it but in an abusive way.When we talk about being in an abusive relationship it doesn't necessarily mean the person is hitting or beating you but even by your words, actions and perception about how things are to be done.
Now if I have a friend who is in an abusive relationship my simple advice is,
RUN
I have nothing else to say but run, especially when it has gotten physical, even emotional cause when someone is being abused emotionally the person might one day take an action due to emotions that is severe, so i would say run my dear. As for the aspect of getting physical, we have seen and heard stories of how people die due to abusive relationships. So my advice still remains
RUN FOR YOUR DEAR LIFE
I have heard ladies say he's just correcting me 馃槸 some even say I love him he's just angry someone that beats you almost everyday, guilt trips you and you are here saying he is just angry 馃槸. Ok dear but my advice still remains run. Now before I go I would love to ask a question and I would want you to answer me in the comments section.
