Hello, everyone.

I welcome you to my blog. Do you know that not trusting a person does not stop you from dealing with them or having something to do with them, but how you deal with someone you trust and someone you don't trust differs? Not trusting a person does not completely kick or keep them out of your life; there are cases and situations where having something to do with people you do not trust becomes inevitable, and all you have to do is come up with ways you can successfully deal with them and at the same time avoid giving them the room to hurt you or do you bad.

There is definitely a reason you do not trust a particular person; it can be from past experiences with them, it can be from the stories you have heard about them, or it can also be from the type of person you perceive them to be, basically judging them by their appearance or behavior. There is definitely a reason for not wanting to trust a person, but that does not stop us from having something to do with them. You cannot trust a person and still have contracts and deals with them, but it is at this point that you develop some mechanism to help you stay safe from whatever makes you feel like they are not to be trusted.

Many people do not trust people who are in the same line of work with them, I have had an experience with my boss as an interior designer who shared with a colleague out of excitement a big gig he had and how he charged the person high, sharing all the details and that colleague of his boycott him and told the client he would do it at a cheaper rate and till date my boss still hold the grudge and they are no longer as close as they used to be.

When dealing with people you do not trust, you can do all of the following, and once the deal is done, everyone can go about their lives until another deal brings you guys together again.

Communicate clearly and directly: When having to deal with people you do not trust becomes inevitable and you have to work with them, try as much as possible to actually focus on work and avoid making sure whenever you have contact with them that your conversations and what you share with them do not go beyond work; share nothing personal with them.

Be cautious: Always watch your mouth and what you say to them and when they are around; this is more like taming your tongue. Also keep important information and tasks that do not require sharing to yourself.

Evaluate the friendship: It will shock you that we have people who are friends with people they claim not to trust. When you don't trust a person for reasons best known to you, the question is to ask yourself, "Is this person worth keeping around?" And if not, you have to distance yourself and be close or have a deal when it becomes inevitable.

Seek advise: When it becomes inevitable to deal with people who you do not trust, do well to seek advise from people who you trust to give you the insight you need about what to do.
