For too long I lived in Bangkok. In many ways it is a great place but wildlife is my main interest and a large city is not the ideal site to look for it. But I did manage to find some. It was hiding in all the urban decay. The natural process of weathering had taken our urban surfaces and reclaimed them to produce landscapes in all the forgotten cracked paintwork and rusty corners.

My simple role was adding the wildlife to all those lush habitats. Here are some early examples of what I do.

Today I have been a little bit full doing errands, since at home with the family we are in the process of making hallacas, which as I told you last time, is a traditional Venezuelan dish, which we usually eat at Christmas, approximately from November to January. So we spent the whole day buying the missing ingredients, plus looking for gifts for the family, the day flew by, and we decided that for dinner, we would go look for something in the street. We arrived at this place, called Visage, which is in a shopping mall called CCM, and there are several food places, pizza, meat and this one with hamburgers and hot dogs.

When I was a child I ate a lot of mango because in my grandmother's house there is a huge tree of this tropical fruit, I remember that I was quite daring and I was not afraid of heights, because I climbed the tree to reach the roof of the house and play up there, the tree is so big that several branches cover the roof, the same tree still exists and continues to give a lot of fruit. When you have a lot of harvest of a fruit you learn to eat it in different ways, you get used to the variety of flavors and textures as the ripening process of the fruit occurs, an example is when the mango is not yet ripe, it becomes a delicious snack if you eat it raw with a vinaigrette, or you can eat it in salads it is also delicious.
