Fried snacks are always a source of inspiration for home cooking—perfect for when you’re hungry or during the rainy season. This snack uses just three ingredients, so it’s definitely not complicated, but it can be a great idea for a special treat to enjoy with the family on a holiday.
This week, my husband has been extremely busy at the office—he even had to go in on the weekend because he has so many after-hours tasks to complete. I took the initiative to make a dish that’s easy for him to take with him—I just need to fry it and put it in his lunchbox.
I intentionally shaped these instant noodle snacks to resemble nuggets. I cut them out by hand into simple letter shapes. They look cute, but since they’re handmade, they aren’t perfectly uniform. However, that’s enough to make me happy—I was able to turn this simple dish into something even better. Curious about the preparation steps? Let’s take a look at the recipe below.
Dough Ingredients
1 egg
1 packet of instant noodles
Instant noodle seasoning
100 grams of all-purpose flour
Coating Ingredients
Breadcrumbs, as needed
1 egg
Boil the instant noodles in boiling water until tender and fully cooked.
Next, prepare the seasoning in a bowl; add the instant noodles and one egg, then stir until well combined.
Blend until smooth and well combined.
Transfer to a bowl and add all-purpose flour until the dough is easy to shape.
Then shape as desired, dip in egg, and coat in breadcrumbs.
Fry over medium heat until golden brown.
This dish can be served with hot rice or enjoyed as a snack dipped in chili sauce—it’s absolutely delicious. Everything looks absolutely perfect—even though the shapes aren’t quite perfect yet—but I’m already very happy with the results; they’re quite appealing.
The flavor is savory, not spicy, with a slight salty umami taste from the instant noodle seasoning. Maybe next time I’ll replace the instant noodle seasoning with just salt and mushroom broth—it’ll definitely taste much better. Well, that’s my little recipe; I hope you enjoy it.
