Happy Wednesday and happy New Year! How are you today? What are you up to? I'm taking you with me again on a stroll I took last night through the beautiful center of my city, decorated for Christmas. Every year during this time, my city prepares for an explosion of lights and colors. Today, I'll take you to Piazza del Duomo, my city's main square, home to the town hall, the courthouse, the cathedral, and various historic medieval buildings. This year, the square has been decorated with special blue, light blue, and gold lights. Projectors project the lights and charming Christmas designs onto the various buildings. I think the bell tower, illuminated as it stands out over the entire square, is particularly beautiful. Of course, the square also features a Christmas tree, which this year seems smaller than in previous years and more simply decorated, but still very beautiful and well-kept.

The square is obviously particularly charming even during the day, but during this time of year it's even more so at night when the lights are turned on, creating an atmosphere that I'd describe as unique and magical, truly Christmassy. It may be a little spoiled by the presence of a stage in the center for some events, but overall it remains a beautiful, photo-worthy square. I obviously walked around it to photograph it from multiple angles, but I also visited the courthouse, an ancient building with incredibly beautiful frescoed ceilings, decorated simply for these holidays but still very impressive. It was a pleasant stroll, and I hope to take you on another tour of my city decorated for Christmas soon.
