Good evening, blog friends, sorry for my absence these days, but I've been very busy and the heat has been terrible, which hasn't been good for my health. Anyway, here I am again. A few days ago I told you about my trip to Pescia; you can find the post here:

But I also wanted to tell you about the trip I took to Pescia because not only is this town delightful, but the road to get there is also beautiful, winding through villages and hamlets. Now I'll tell you a little about it! On the way there, we took a faster route, but on the way back, we opted for a slower but more scenic route. Naturally, we reached the end of the town of Pescia, crossing the last bridge in the village and enjoying the view of the town's old, colorful houses. We then headed into the countryside, but first we passed through some more urban areas, also characterized by the typical old, light-colored houses interspersed with green spaces. Then we entered one of the hamlets, whose name, I confess, I don't remember whether it was Santa Maria or Santa Lucia鈥擨 mean, there was definitely a saint here. We stopped in a square that really reminded me of the old village squares when, as kids, we all gathered there in the evening to get ice cream, when going out at night as kids wasn't as dangerous as it is today. This square is very beautiful, with a few bars, a pastry shop, a tobacconist, and tables and flower pots鈥攁 really quiet place to have a coffee.

We then continued on, entering the suburban streets, typical Tuscan suburban streets. Here too, you can see small houses and businesses, and here too, I was struck by the fact that it seems to have come straight from my childhood: many of the signs are still in the style of the 1980s and 1990s, and many of the houses and buildings also have the same style. As we approached home, we also encountered several factories and power plants. This is definitely a good area to live in, and we also saw several people out for walks. It really seems like a quiet area with lots of green spaces and little traffic. Then came the part I liked the most when we reached the large countryside. There are also some factories among the fields, but they are very beautiful to look at. There are farmhouses, streams, and large green fields. It is very nice to be able to observe some views from above. It was a very beautiful return road here too, approaching Montecatini, we could admire the tree-lined avenues typical of our new city and many beautiful areas to visit on the road that leads to Pescia. If you come to visit Pescia, I recommend taking this road. It is slower but much more beautiful to see than the main one.
