Anytime I have to do something for my abs, I always try to make sure there is some weights involved. Without weights involved I usually feel like I'm wasting my time. My reasoning is that if you really mean to workout a muscle and grow it, weights are your best bet.
All the while I've been working out in this makeshift gym I've not been doing anything for my abs because I couldn't think of any weighted workouts for my abs. Until now, that is. So here's a video of me putting in that ab work.
The major thing here is that you only use your hands to hold the weight in place while the entire pressure should be on your core. When getting up and getting back down you should draw your entire force by contracting and releasing your core/stomach muscles.
Felt really great doing it.
Another great thing is that with time I can add even more weight to what I'm doing it with, which means I'll be progressing crazily with my core strength.
This is a very great workout, because it doesn't just gives you muscles but core strength and functional strength too. Getting up your ass and getting back down is something we do on a regular, this workout would make sure you don't have any difficulty doing this into your old age.
