These past few days I've been de-stressing by going to some beaches in the area where I live, eastern Venezuela, known for having some of the most beautiful beaches in the country.
Estos últimos días me he estado relajando yendo a algunas playas de la zona donde vivo, en el oriente de Venezuela, conocida por tener algunas de las playas más hermosas del país.
Sometimes, as I always say, we don't need to travel to other countries, eat in fancy restaurants, or drink expensive liquors to have a good time. All it takes is a good attitude, great company, and a curiosity to explore new places. So this week, taking advantage of my vacation from work, I packed some swimsuits, sunscreen, and we grabbed the cooler of beers and headed to Playa Medina.
A veces, como siempre digo, no necesitamos viajar a otros países, comer en restaurantes elegantes ni beber licores caros para pasarlo bien. Basta con tener buena actitud, buena compañía y curiosidad por explorar nuevos lugares. Así que esta semana, aprovechando mis vacaciones, empaqué trajes de baño, protector solar, tomamos una nevera portátil llena de cervezas y nos dirigimos a Playa Medina.
The beer we bought was Polar Light, which, as its name suggests, is one of the lightest beers on the Venezuelan market. With 4% alcohol, this beer has been the most popular in the country since its launch and is perfect for parties, gatherings, and beach get-togethers because of how refreshing and light it is.
La cerveza que compramos fue Polar Light, que, como su nombre indica, es una de las cervezas más ligeras del mercado venezolano. Con un 4% de alcohol, esta cerveza ha sido la más popular del país desde su lanzamiento y es perfecta para fiestas, reuniones y encuentros en la playa por lo refrescante y ligera que es.
This beer costs less than a dollar in liquor stores and supermarkets across the country, but on the beach it was a little over a dollar, which is understandable since the vendors there aren't wholesalers. What surprised me, though, was that this was the only kind of beer available; there weren't any others. I was told it was because it was the most popular choice, although I suspect it also has to do with Polar having a better distribution network nationwide.

No sé qué opinan ustedes, pero creo que ir a la playa es sinónimo de diversión, y si te tomas unas cervezas, la diversión se multiplica por mil.
