I have an extreme sweet tooth and at the same time I am an extremist when it comes to controlling my diet or giving up on it. Chocolates is my weakness, though in the last few years I have stopped getting it at home. If it's not around then I do not feel like eating. Very occasionally I have it when I am out. Hubby too loves it and sometimes he overrides my decisions and gets it but then he also has to face the brunt of it.....hehe.
Swiss is all about Chocolates, how much ever you try to escape it from somewhere or the other it will still pop up in front of you. All throughout the trip I was avoiding it, but then when we were in Zermatt, on the main street we came across Laderach. They have some of the finest chocolates and I like them more then Lindt also. Their tablets, pralines & truffles all are very good. Laderach chocolates are expensive because they manufacture their own chocolate. From start to end the whole process is in their control, which is from the selection of cocoa bean till the time it gets to the shop. Hence the whole process is closely monitored and the standard is maintained throughout the years.
Hubby said let's go and have a look inside, and I was like, no way. But then he insisted and got annoyed with me, so I gave up in that moment since it was a holiday mood. There is a Laderach store in Muscat also, and in all these years only once we had bought some chocolates from there.
Look at these tablets, one can go crazy over it. I am surely very very very tempted :-)

I ended up buying it very conservatively some dark chocolate with almond bars, to enjoy in the moment
I was browsing through the store and was amazed to see the variety of sweets they have to offer.
These are Chocolate popcorns in different flavors
And some more in all mixed flavors. My favorite is always dark chocolates and I like almond and raisins one also.
I am not at all a fan of white chocolates. I wonder how people like it, there was variety of that too
It was like never ending and the store was full of people
This reminds me of a sweet shop in Mumbai, where there are range of sweets and it gets difficult to decide which ones to have and which to not.

There was more and more, and I had to just step out to not get tempted further. The smell and taste both are amazing of these chocolates, you have one and you feel like having more and more. That's what they do to the brain :-)
