I have been nominated by @sanjeevm for this share, I found it very interesting to pick it up and make my own version. I had to dig into my drawers and remove all the old pics. Till almost 2010 most of the photographs I have in hard copy, they are so many that I have never had the chance to convert them into a soft copy. And I am a person who cherish printed pictures more then the soft copies. When I was searching for these pictures I almost spent 2 hours, because I got into looking at all the other albums also.
Life was so so different then, I am not saying good or bad, because the life I have right now is equally good to what I had then also. It's just the different phases of life. The one important thing at that time was, Life was a little slow and peaceful, there were no mobile phones, use of computer was less, so we spent more time in other ways, that was catching up with friends and spending more outdoor time.
#MeAt20, I had just finished my graduation and got my first job, also simultaneously I was doing my Secretarial training course. Life was just beginning, so much excitement. You know the feeling of that first job, becoming independent, setting your foot on the next phase of life, and at the same time I was then going around with my hubby, so it was all too much excitement, fiancee, new job, like a new life. I got married at 21, so again it was at that time the marriage preparation had also started, so too much happening in that year.
I was enjoying going through the albums, it felt so nostalgic, taking a look at the past, so many special moments captured, such a long way we have come and so many good memories created.
Let me share some of them with you.
I remember this picture was clicked on a ship. My uncle worked at the dockyard and whenever there was a big cargo ship that would come, they would have a party. He would take all of us for the party and it use to be good fun.
This is with my favorite one with my favorite man. My dad, the most important person of my life. He was a very jovial person and he would always be very happy when my friends would come over home. During vacation, a lot of my friends would come over home to spend a few days all of us together, they would stay for a week. Dad would cook for all of us whatever we wanted and he would be at our service ensuring we had good fun. My parents had separated when I was 5 and I was raised up by my dad. He was everything for me. He had dedicated his whole life just for me and my sister, doing every possible thing to give us a good life. I miss him so much.
This picture was with my school friends, when they had all come over to my place for a vacation.
Though Mom did not stay with us, we did often meet her. I used to miss her, so dad would make it a point that we got chance to be with her also. I look very similar to my Mom.
With my elder sister, she also had a boyfriend then, and they got married later. 4 of us used to do a lot of outings.
I got engaged at 20, life was just starting. Good feelings.
And my first job happened at 20, a lot of excitement was there.
Going through these pictures is bringing back so many memories.
