Have you ever tried this yummy dal which is full of flavours, nutrition and a nice aromas of Indian spices . Which is made by chickpeas, onion, tomato and some spices. And it has a suscy consistency. With indian flavours this recipe taste superb which we can enjoy with chapati or rice at lunch or dinner. We mostly prefer it for lunch. There is no much trick in making this recipe...just follow the steps and the tasty dal will be ready in no time.

Split chickpeas 1 bowl
Onion 2
Tomato 1
Green chilli 2
Ginger Garlic paste 1 tsp
Oil 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Musterd seeds 1 tsp
Hing one pinch
Salt to taste
Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder 1 tbsp
Coriander powder 2 tbsp
Garam masala 1 tsp
First take the chickpeas , wash it well , soak for 20-30 minutes and boil in the pressure cooker. For it add turmeric powder and salt in it while boiling.
Boil till the 2-3 whistle.
You can check whether the dal has boiled properly by pressing it with thumb and finger.
Now finely chopped all veggies. I used chopper to chopped the veggies. I chopped all veggies together.
After all preparation, take a deep pan and add oil in it. Heat the oil and add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and hing in it.
When seeds start to crackle add chopped veggies in it.
Also add the ginger garlic paste and cook for 3-4 mintues on medium flame.
After it add spices one by one and cook for 5-7 minutes on low to medium flame .
Now add hot water in it. You can add 1-1.5 bowl water in it. Cook agian for 5 minutes.
Now you can enjoy the nice aroma . Add boiled chickpeas and cook for 2 minutes. You can alos add few drops of lemon juice or you can skip it.
Your chana dal is ready to enjoy. Look how delicious and appealing it is. I love this so much 😊.
Served it with hot chapati and enjoy with your loved ones 😄.
Do not throw away the water used to boil chickpeas, while making gravy use that water.
Remember that salt is already added to that water, so add salt to the gravy accordingly.
