For some it is a lifestyle as they enjoy road side and fast food compared to home made dishes. For others it is out of necessity and mostly to satisfy some cravings. I fall within the latter part category though I love home made food and prepare my own meals all the times.
Some special moments come when I have cravings for food prepared outside the house.
Masa our local rice prepared pudding is one meal I can't pass by in the stress without stopping by to get some of that delicious meal.
Its is usually a stressful and long processing method to prepare Masa and when am not making it in large quantity for the whole family, I save myself the stress and just take a walk down my street to get just the needed quantity to satisfy my craving.
My morning walk led me to a route where I found something I couldn't resist.
I found this woman along Sankira street at Janruwa area of Chukum local government of Kaduna state where I have come visiting my aunt for about a month now.
She sells masa and soup by the roadside only a stone throw from where she lives.
Using firewood and the traditional masa pot she makes this fermented pudding for sale at an affordable price, Its is her primary source of living.
My eyes caught these and feasted on them before I purchased some.
I grew up eating masa prepared often times by my late mother and ever since I have special spot for this meal in my diet timetable 馃檲馃槀
