Sweet bread with raisins
Ingredients:
5 cups wheat flour 1 tablespoon grated orange peel
1 cup seedless raisins 3 tablespoons malt extract
¾ cup brown sugar 2 tablespoons brewed yeast
½ Cup oil
Preparation:
The yeast is dissolved in lukewarm water, adding flour to form a ball that is left to rest in lukewarm place so that it leude.
apart, in a bowl, put the flour and mix with the sugar and orange peel, then incorporating the proofing ball, the oil, the malt extract and enough warm water to form a soft dough. Knead until it is smooth and peel off the hands. Raisins are mixed with a spoonful of wheat flour and incorporated into the dough. Let stand in warm place until it rises to twice its size. The loaves and balls are formed and placed in the moulds, leaving it proving about 45 minutes, and it is carried in a moderate oven. When they are ready they are removed and painted on top with water so that they are shiny.
