This photowalk was one of the activities of the third day of HiveBeeCon meetup held in Poland some days ago. mynewlife@mynewlife was leading this activity, guiding a group of people who identify themselves as Hivers, although in the afternoon of the same day, we had a very funny game where you could be something else... depending on the cards you got by chance. 馃榿 That was quite an entertaining board game, but no less interesting was this 4-hour-long walk. For me, it was one hour more as before this photowalk, I went to visit a museum where I spent one additional hour. At the end, I was so tired that just one traditional Polish soup saved me from a definite death. 馃槀

The meeting point for this walk was in Biskupia Street in the city of Krak贸w, very close to a little church. It actually wasn't part of the activity to enter the courtyard of that church, just my own unplanned detour while heading to the meeting point. We were approaching the group standing in front of the meeting point (The Kingdom) and then I disappeared from the pavement of the street for some seconds. Luckily, I was back and got to the Hivers just right on time.

We passed through many streets, parks, squares and guess what - I won't be able to name them all. It is not that I wasn't paying attention to our guide but we also took this walk in a more relaxed way. Walking, chitchatting and taking a few photos of what we see on the street. Oh, I saw a man wearing a vest with a Hive logo! Who could it be? 馃榿

While walking through this green belt of Krak贸w, which now, in autumn, is not just green but yellow and red as well, I told asia-pl@asia-pl how much I miss these autumn scenes in Spain. Her reaction was that she wouldn't miss it at all, that she would gladly live surrounded by pine and palm trees instead. I am sure after more than a decade, she would also miss, at least a little bit, the autumn foliage. However, truth be said, I am not used to cold anymore, so I did struggle a bit with the cold.

At several spots of the city we tried to make a group photo. The first one was here, in front of this building but we still don't know how they turned out. The next group photo happened in one very cool bridge with hanging sculptures - acrobats that moved as people pass on the bridge.

With this bridge photo, I skipped so many of those huge and beautiful buildings that we saw. So, using an invisible bridge I am going back right now to show you, in the order of how they appear in the photos, the Collegium Maius Uniwersytetu Jagiello艅skiego, Higher Theological Seminary of the Archdiocese of Krak贸w, the Wawel Royal Castle, the dragon in front of the same castle and some views of the Vistula River.

This photowalk was an amazing way to see so many historic sites in this city. Although it was intense and long, four hours... we stopped to have a little break in a coffee shop and later continued to the other side of the river.

Our final destination on this side of the river was St. Joseph's Church and the little park behind it. After the stroll around it, we split. Some of the people went to eat Vietnamese food, others to the food trucks and a few of us opted for that sour cereal soup called 偶urek.

However, before getting there - to come back to life with that tasty hot soup, we had to walk back the whole way! I was not feeling very well, my left hip hurt badly, and my husband looked at me and saw on my face all that pain. But we made it! And in the meantime, I managed a few more photos hahaha. Passing again by the Wawel Castle and more churches in the city centre:

The reward - the best ever hot meal you can have after such a walk! After 偶urek, I definitely got back to life and could continue with the afternoon fun. 馃榿
