One of my biggest problems is that I get confused about something very soon. If I get an error, I get frustrated after a few tries and walk away. Sometimes I try my best to troubleshoot the problem, keep pushing myself on and on, and in the end, it just gets messed up even more. I skip the most crucial point of troubleshooting, which is to take a break and start with a fresh mind.

It's about yesterday; I was learning a fundamental course on a very interactive platform that has both free and paid services. I didn't have the subscription and started my learning path seeing it as free to learn. So I deep-dived into this, and after spending a few hours of mine, I discovered that it has some locked contents too. Actually, they have designed the path in a unique way. Suppose that the learning path has ten core topics, so they would divide them into ten sections, and each of them contains subsections. So when you start a topic, it gets locked at its advanced subsections. You may get access to three out of five subsections for free that explain the basic part of the topic. The same goes for all the topics. Some paths are entirely for paid users, and some are divided into this strategy so that some free users might learn the basics.

I got frustrated seeing the remaining contents locked. It wasn't mentioned above, or I didn't notice that anywhere; only it's notified when you reach that level. You can skip the remaining subsections and move on to the next topic. My mind won't accept that; why on earth would I learn something incomplete? Especially when I can see how much I am leaving behind those tempting chapters. Should I continue or move on to some other platform? I thought of asking the community to suggest a similar interactive platform as I have faced this issue here. I knew many would have already faced similar situations like me and I was curious to know from them and what their solutions were. After getting their feedback, I got an idea of how bad I was at troubleshooting and how my frustrations grasped my mind to think of a different way out of the mess instead of taking shortcuts to skip.

So someone came up with a solution. He was like, "Complete the rooms that you are getting from the platform for free, and for the rest of them, go to youtube, watch and learn what's inside and practice by yourself." Actually, he is absolutely correct because it's not like traditional courses in which materials can't be found elsewhere except for pirating the course. It's not about piracy, either. This program is something about learning and problem-solving, so there are tons of videos that break down those problems from the course and let you have a visual walkthrough. The only downside is that you will be just watching, with no interactions. This interactive part was the thing that drew my attention to that platform. Otherwise, there were tons of resources on youtube to go with. Never mind, I can adjust to that. So I will be doing sixty to seventy percent of my path on that interactive platform by myself, and the rest will be through watching the others solve on youtube. It has one benefit too, a few experts who break down those problems in detail; I will be missing out on the experience of doing it by myself.

See? It was a very satisfactory solution. As I won't pay for that subscription right now, so it was the best way to bring the best out of it. A little bit of adjustment has resumed my path; I didn't feel those initial hours and enthusiasm wasted. Instead, I am feeling alive again and started with double enthusiasm. So NEVER EVER walk away from something without proper troubleshooting; take a break as it helps to create a new idea to break through the problem.
