Usually, I prefer things that I need only, and I don't overspend on anything that is not on the list that I am in need of right now. Like I don't have a bookshelf as I feel like I don't have lots of books that would require one to showcase, A few that I have for my academic purposes can be managed with the available options right now, same goes for the other stuff as well.
Just a year ago, I had two tables in my room, one for my computer and another for my study purposes. Both of them weren’t spacious enough to serve me with both of my needs alone. Those were made for separate reasons, so they served me respectively. Last year, when I got my new rig, I thought of leaving those two tables and having one, a big one. First of all, I tried to measure how much space I could dedicate to my needs, and so I did a custom order with those measurements.
So when it arrived, it was a giant, huge in length and width. I have a dual monitor setup, and there was plenty of room even after the setup, so I took a corner for my notebooks along with a few books I need regularly. Yeah, that was the plan; the width was pretty enough to place the monitor, the keyboard and mouse pad, and a notebook for my study purposes. It even has rooms at the other end of the CPU to keep water bottles and a mini plastic bin to throw dry trash. My morning routine is kinda different. I mostly wake up late, and after freshening up, I sit at my computer table, play a documentary, and have my breakfast there. Come on, I have plenty of space there to do all these without even moving, nor do I need more stuff to place to assist me with these. Recently I have changed my room, a tiny room that fits my bed, my computer table with a chair, and a wardrobe. There is no space for anything else, and I am pretty done with my needs with whatever I have because my table fulfills all the needs I might have in my room, and for sleeping, I have my bed, cool!
So yeah, this giant table may seem overkill as a computer table alone, but if I start to list all my needs and purposes I get to fulfill with this, it is worth every penny and space. This is it!
