This is the 4th time I have started to draft something. I am not being able to finish anything I am starting to write, nor am I able to skip it for now. Yeah, I want to stop writing. I closed the notepad several times, and here I came again; it's like a craving that I must go on, let my fingers move around the keycaps no matter if it is 3:00 am now. Yeah, late-night thoughts, ones that don't let me sleep nor leave me alone to do something meaningful. I have been sitting here doing nothing meaningful for the past four hours, literally nothing.
Do you want to know what I was doing?
I went to an e-commerce website, and my mind started to scream, “I want this, this one, this one, this one toooo.” and I went to the checkout page as well when my mind came back to its senses and said, “Stop, you don't need that, look for something more efficient.” I mean, the products I had chosen were not in the A+ category; they were on sale, but I wanted to spend my money on something solid. Created a forum on a community and asked for another recommendation showing a reference. Now, when people started to respond, I am losing interest and just watching them replying as I won't be buying this anymore. I have to save the recommendations for later; that's the only condolence to the situation for now.
Broke the streak,
I was chasing something for a couple of weeks without any break, and now it's broken as I am out of my mind today. I was scrolling through the YouTube videos, Facebook feeds, and Twitter. Oh yeah, the only good thing that happened was the Twitter notifications. Notifications were the root of all the distractions of my focus; now I have deactivated all of them, just enabled Twitter following many accounts to notify me on “all tweets,” and this is what takes me back to make me remember that I have far more important things to chase.
This happens,
Once a week or quite often, I face this kind of shitty night where I am clueless about what to do or what I am doing. I will sleep late at night and wake up late in the morning as well, may miss my breakfast too, and the morning schedule gets messed up. This happens even when I have something important to do in the morning, and I need to get up being half asleep, and the day passes like a zombie. This is what it is; I don't know when I will be able to get rid of these messed up nights completely, or I will never. How often do you stumble in such situations?
