"When the nice guy loses his patience the devil shivers." I just got this quote while surfing on the internet. I tried to search who said it but didn't get any specific name. Different places with different names. Well, that's not a problem but I loved the quote. Have you guys seen this in your practical life? I guess you have seen. I have experienced this many times and I am also a nice and calm guy, ahem! Yeah, I claim to be such a person and whenever I lose my patience I tend to do things that I wouldn't have preferred being calm.
So today I am going to share such an experience that will be remembered in my memories for a lifetime. I studied in a private school and that one used to be considered as the strictest school in our city. There were strict rules and regulations to be maintained and if not too many punishments. Among all the strict teachers there were a few with a calm head, one of them was our English teacher at standard-8. English was my favorite subject at that time and he used to like me too, we had a good bonding. I was pretty close to him. I never saw him being angry over anything or giving strict punishments like others.
During our coaching sessions before the starting of our mid-term exams, he was late for his class. On that chance, two students started a quarrel between them. They were fighting in front of the class and suddenly our English teacher entered the room. He saw them fighting and asked them to stop it but they didn't. As usual, he was a calm guy so they didn't give so much priority to his words and thought he wouldn't take any strict action. But he got furious and ordered a student to bring him a cane from the office. We never saw him using a cane before that day, he used to punish with normal scales. We were silent and wondering what was going to happen next. He called one of those two boys near him, without hearing any explanation he started to beat him with the cane on and on. The whole class was silent, not because of this strict punishment, but by seeing the sudden change of behavior from our teacher. He lost his patience and turned out to be a very strict guy. He punished those two boys so badly that they couldn't attend the first two exams. We saw such strict punishment but never saw anything like this, I was so terrified of seeing this change that my bonding with him got shaken. I was also afraid of saying anything freely for a few days, in case he gets furious again.
Sometimes our situations force us to lose our patience. There is always a limit to everything. How far one can keep hold of the situation depends on the person. Some are restless and some do them calmly, even the calm ones burst out sometimes. That's what this quote is trying to say and I too agree with that. Being a devil sometimes is not bad, hehehe.
