I'm fully aware boxing is not for everyone, and even know personally some people that oppose it on principle. But, there is something to be said about our nature, and our fondness of overcoming odds and winning battles.
Is to me the perfect representation of an underdog who through sheer will overcame all odds. I mean, I'm not being hyperbolic here, it takes but a second to assess who is athletically superior, but in the end this did not matter.
What I truly loved about Andy Ruiz Jr is his attitude going into the fight, and his humility right afterwards too. He had a goal in his mind, nobody believed he could pull it off, he was laughed at the whole way, and instead of calling out his haters, he says, sincerely "God bless them".
If you are going through your own fight against all odds, maybe this story will pump you up a bit.
