Newest addition to the special coffee list. Brazil Fazenda Recreio.
Well, this is a coffee that I wanted to taste, for a while now, and although it’s a bit pricey I decided to give it a try. It’s the Brazil Fazenda Recreio coffee and it’s in the group of Exclusive Coffees. Initially I didn’t want to give $20 for a package of 200 g, but my curiosity prevailed. And here it is!
Light roasted is the thing I like to see on the label the most. I don’t like the heavily roasted coffees, and the special coffees really shine when they are not burned. Well, if the coffee is not good, you may prefer to have it darker, but it’s not the way to enjoy a nice and fresh beans.
And the way to really enjoy a specialty coffee is brewing it in the V60 filter set. Prepared this way, you can enjoy every aromatic quality, without having any harshness or intensive tastes.
After measuring 21 grams of coffee, then you pour 330 grams of boiling water, divided in 3 portions (50-140-140), and hopefully the extraction will be achieved in 2,5-3 minutes total. That’s the moment when the coffee is done and comes the long awaited moment - the first sip! And I’m always very excited about this part of the coffee experience.
So let’s have it now, while the baby is still calm and not crying. A moment of perfection!
This coffee variety hosts aromas of cherries, mandarin and roasted chestnuts. It has some very unique qualities and I’m happy that I went with this choice of coffee. The beginning is quite nutty, while the aftertaste fades with some freshness and delicate fruitiness. Just love it!
I’m happy that you stopped by on to my post and I will see you probably quite soon with another one of my favorite picks(coffee picks)!
