Que difíciles son las despedidas !!! // How difficult goodbyes are !!!
Greetings friends Hivers from Motherhood, welcome to my blog. Today after a few days of absence I return to share with you a very emotional blog, full of many mixed feelings, since my mom had to return home after spending a long time with us at home and it was very sad to say goodbye to her, we felt that her strength was fading away because of the sadness, and the uncertainty of when we would see each other again.
When our parents are of a certain age, it is very important to make them feel that they are not alone, that not everything is over for them, that although they no longer have the same agility and strength to perform day to day activities, they are not a hindrance to us. They feel that they are very clumsy and make us spend our time helping them to do their activities, it is true that there are days when we are very full of work and we do not have the same patience, but we must remember how much patience they had with us when we were babies, now it is our turn to give them back that patience twice as much.
My mother came home about 5 months ago, we had a long time without sharing with her because for reasons of the pandemic, and economic, it had become impossible for us to meet, after managing and gather some money, she moved to our house, she currently lives on the other side of the country, where she has her little house that she lived for many years with my father, who unfortunately died 15 years ago. Generally my mother does not like to spend so much time with us as she feels it invades our privacy, and disturbs the education we give our daughter, and she has let me know many times. I understand how she feels, since the way she raised us is not the same as the way we raise children today, of course always keeping the same principles but executed in a different way, that parents do not see it right, and it costs a lot to make them understand. In addition to feeling helpless and the way of doing things at home are not done in their own way, which limits her a lot, it is very difficult to channel this situation.
Having her at home during all this time has been a blessing, since in addition to helping me in the household chores, through her life experience in all areas she has been a company with great contributions for my daughter, they have made a great team, through the tenderness of one for the other they complement each other very well. It is very enriching to see them praying together, sewing clothes, watching movies, talking about the day to day. My mother has taken refuge in that love with my daughter, doing many of the activities that she could not do with her children due to her occupations, work, I understand her 100%, since I am currently going through those same moments, where the occupations to bring the sustenance home rob us of so much time to share with our children.
In spite of telling her and making her feel that she is not a burden for us at home, she feels uncomfortable and invades our space, so she does not stay at home any longer, besides she feels uncomfortable not having her own space, and to do things as she likes, and it is understandable at her age, since it is not the same to be at home than living in another house that is not hers, even if it is her daughter's house. It is very hard for me to say goodbye to her, since I am anguished at the idea of her being alone, since loneliness causes a lot of depression, and even if she gets sick, I am not at her side to take care of her. There are so many feelings that I have in my soul every time she is far from us, however I do not put pressure on her, I let everything flow, God's time is perfect, and unfortunately there will come a time when she will not be able to fend for herself, and she will have to be by my side, while I ask God to take care of her and protect her while she has the strength to fend for herself.
How difficult it is to say goodbye to a breastfed being, and above all to the mother, since we will always be uncertain if we will see her again, so while we have them by our side we must enjoy them, pamper them a lot and be patient, since they will see us as their babies all their lives.
