Hello dear foodies! 💛
Hope everyone's having a wonderful day.
Last Sunday, I craved chicken with ketchup. Normally, we'd just go for our chicken adobo, but this time I want ketchup. 🤤
And I'm happy as it turned out amazing. Exactly how I imagined it would be!
So now I'm sharing this super-easy recipe with you all today.
Ingredients:
• 500 grams chicken
• 1 cup banana ketchup
• 4 cloves garlic
• 1 medium tomato
• 1 Knorr chicken broth cube
• 1 teaspoon black pepper
• 1 tablespoon sugar
• 1 cup water
• 2 tablespoons cooking oil
• salt and pepper
Let's cook!
• First, I heated some oil in a pan. Then I put in the chopped garlic and sliced tomatoes. I cooked them until they became soft and fragrant.
• Next, I added the chicken pieces. I let them cook while turning them over from time to time until they turned light brown on all sides. That took about 5 to 7 minutes.
• Once the chicken was browned, I poured in the ketchup. I mixed it well together with the water so everything was evenly combined.
• Then I added the seasonings: black pepper, Knorr cubes, sugar, and salt. I put just enough to make it taste perfect. But you can adjust according to how you like it. I turned the heat down low, covered the pan, and let it cook for 30 minutes. I just left it to simmer until the chicken became tender and the sauce got thick and yummy.
And that's it!
My chicken with ketchup is ready to serve!
I really love how it turned out! The ketchup gives it such a nice taste which is sweet. The sauce is perfect when poured over hot steamed rice. And my family loved it too.
Until my next chicken dish...
Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸
